“NOCHE DEL TRES DE SEPTIEMBRE”
Cabalgando en la oscuridad
llegó la noche de MAGIA.
Cabalgando sobre las notas
se hizo la luz en la plaza.
Plaza de nuestros amores,
abarrotada de almas…
Noche del tres de septiembre,
está la plaza preñada.
Preludio de tantos anhelos,
de tantos sueños y esperanzas.
Noche de la Bandera,
de la Fiesta su entrada,
ya todos se preparan
en una oscura antesala.
El recuerdo de otros años,
de esta fecha señalada,
alboroza el corazón
aguardando la alborada
que ilumine las tinieblas
y dé paso a la mañana
cuando el Reino de la Luz,
derramándose en alegres lágrimas,
envuelva los corazones
con amorosas ansias:
el comienzo de la Fiesta…
Ya la Bandera ondeaba
saludando desde arriba
al pueblo que la agasaja,
como el que espera algo grande,
y el que espera la mañana.
¡Que rompa la noche el fuego!
¡Que rompa la noche iluminada!
¡Que la noche se haga día
de la oscuridad enamorada!
Calurosos los aplausos…
Ya está vestida la plaza,
ya está la Fiesta en la calle
esperando a la de GRACIA,
ya está todo preparado…
¡Cómo brillan las miradas
de todos los CAUDETANOS
y todas las CAUDETANAS!
